Custom portals for Chicago companies that run on phone calls and spreadsheets.
Loadbearing builds customer, vendor and staff portals on top of the ERP, dispatch or accounting system you already run, for owner-led distributors, trucking and logistics firms and oilfield services companies. I build it, from the Chicago area, and meet you in person.
What gets built
Customer portal
Customers log in to see orders, shipments, invoices and documents, and to reorder, without calling anyone.
Vendor or carrier portal
Vendors and carriers see purchase orders or loads, upload paperwork and compliance documents, and check payment status.
Staff dashboard
One screen for everything that needs attention today: approvals, exceptions, expiring paperwork, open balances.
An optional assistant
Answers "where is my order" from that account’s own data, says it is automated, and hands off to a person when the answer is not there.
On top of what you run
Nothing gets replaced. Data comes from your own system’s exports or its official API, so the portal reads the same numbers your staff do.
Each customer and vendor sees only their own records. Every table is tested to prove it, and each build gets an independent security review before launch. How data is handled
The portal runs in hosting and database accounts in your company’s name, and you own the work once it is paid in full.
How it starts, and what it costs
Paid audit
$5,000 to $7,500, two weeksHow customers, vendors and staff work with your current system today, ending in a written plan and a quote for the first portal. The fee is credited toward the build if you go ahead.
The first portal or workflow
Usually $20,000 to $45,000Quoted after the audit, once the scope is clear. Paid by milestone.
Running it
Usually $2,000 to $5,000 a monthHosting, running and improving the portal, month to month with 30 days notice.
